Web Stream Capture is a program that can grab media content from video streaming sites, media players, online radios and TV, etc. The recording process is easy: once we have launched the program, it will automatically detect and record the media stream being played. So whenever we play a video on YouTube for example, the program will automatically download it to the preset folder.
The program is capable of detecting media in 9 audio and video formats, which includes ASF, WMA, RM, RA, and MP3. Besides, we can download multiple video or music files simultaneously simply by opening several media sources at once. Among the features it offers, there is a URL box where we can add a URL manually, and with the scheduler function we can set the program to automatically perform recording tasks at a specified time/date, also defining the duration of the recording in minutes.
From the settings we can have the program notify us when a recording session has started or when it is completed, for which purpose it will display pop-up notifications with sound. Once a video/audio file is downloaded, we can just play it using our default media player, or we can convert the file into another format to make it playable on devices such as mobile phones, iPods, Xbox, or Playstation.
